HSMC Request for assistance!

This Spring finds us all in unfamiliar territory. COVID-19 has indeed brought uncertainty to each of our lives. Here at the Humane Society of Morgan County, we continue our daily work caring for our homeless cats and dogs. We have taken steps however, to protect our volunteers and staff by temporarily closing our doors to visitors. We continue to support the community fielding calls, answering questions, and when possible providing food to those needing help feeding their cats and dogs. We are continuing to accept online applications through our website HSMC-WV.org for anyone interested in adopting.

As a 501c3 non-profit no-kill, volunteer- based shelter, EIN # 55-0594927, we rely on fundraising, adoptions, and donations to sustain the normal day to day needs of the shelter. We are not funded by State or County. Not knowing how long social distancing will be required, we have suspended face to face fundraising efforts temporarily. These include raffles & venue events. With these constraints put upon us, we look to you for monetary support. Your Tax-Deductible donation will go towards not only the care and feeding of our animals; but veterinary expenses, the payroll for our three part time staff who feed and clean, and general monthly expenses.

We ask you to give what you can either by check (made out to “HSMC”) or via PayPal. Going on our website hsmc-wv.org you will find the Donate link as well as our Amazon Wish List for our basic supply needs. We thank you in advance for your continued support.

Our Mission at HSMC is to provide food, shelter and community support for the homeless cats and dogs. We are a 501c3 non profit no-kill animal shelter established in 1978 and receive no funding from state or county. HSMC relies on private donations, fundraisers and grants to carry us forward year after year. We work with the public and other adoption, rescue agencies to find forever homes for our shelter animals. Our vision is to be the leaders in transforming the lives of community animals, pets and help the people who care for them.
